OUR STORY

At Waratah Farm we’ve been raising the finest pork you can eat for well over 50 years. We champion just one breed of pig: the Duroc. Known as both ‘The King of Pigs’ and ‘The Wagyu of Pork’, meat from Duroc pigs is instantly recognisable by its colour, taste, succulence and tenderness. Simply put, in eating terms nothing comes close.

RESPECT

The reason why Duroc pork from Waratah Farm is better still comes down to the way we raise our stock. Respect for the land goes hand-in-hand with respect for our pigs, so we look after both with a passion.

It’s a philosophy that’s held sway since the Ground family first established Waratah Farm in New Zealand’s South Waikato all those years ago. It was put into words then and we’ve stuck to it ever since.
